Methods and Tools

Hacking Research

I am always on the lookout for creative research methods and useful tools that make research activities more efficient while still providing high quality results.

I believe every research question calls for its own combination of methods and tools to get answered sufficiently.

things I came up with recently

Diagramming:
Whiteboard sessions based on card sorting to understand the mental models of typical users.
Usability Testing at Scale: Connecting maze.design (unmoderated user testing for prototypes) with clickworker (micro tasking marketplace).
Uncertainty Matrix:
Mapping uncertainty over impact with stakeholders to understand which research activities are most valuable.

Other things I’m good at

Managing and Organizing
Research Writing
